Re: NATO "Science for peace" programm

Michael,

I belive that I am interested in collaborating for a program of
environmental monitoring of former uranium cycle sites. I would of course
need to receive permission and approval from my present employer (Los
Alamos National Laboratory), and the Department of Energy, but I would not
expect that to be a great problem.

I can send a current and more complete CV if that is needed. Following is
a brief summary of my experiences relating to the work:

I am currently in Operational Health Physics at Los Alamos. I am a
Certified Health Physicist as well as being a registered Radiation
Protection Technologist.
I am co-developer of Radnet, an industry standard for monitoring radiation
detection equipment on an Ethernet network or the Internet.
I worked for 3 1/2 years as the Health Physics Supervisor at the ARCO
Bluewater Mill near Grants New Mexico for their demolition and reclamation.
It was a 5,000 acre site (I'm not sure of the conversion to Hectares)
with > 23 million cubic meters of contaminated soils and tailings. This
was a project undertaken by the responsible company, not a US Government
controlled job - therefore we did good, cost-effective work on a tight time
schedule.

Sincerely,
Brian Rees
