If you read more critically you will find that these were fines
levied by the DOE equivalent of the NRC. These were not tort suits
for damages in which the worker received anything. In fact, these
exposures and any associated harm are the basis for workers comp
case. NOT a civil suit by the employee.
No, you probably can NOT sue your employer for stress; however, you
can claim workers comp and try and live on it.
