Results Summary on the Study of Mortality Among Female Nuclear Weapons Workers

The results of a National Institute for Occupational Safety and 
Health-sponsored study on the mortality among female nuclear weapons 
workers are available in pdf ormat LANLWilkinsonFin.pdf (to be opened using 
Adobe Acrobat). This study was conducted by Dr. Gregg Wilkinson from the 
State University of New York at Buffalo. This study includes over 67,000 
women who worked at any of the following 12 DOE sites before January 1, 
1980: Oak Ridge (X-10, Y-12, K-25), Los Alamos National Laboratory, the Zia 
Company, Rocky Flats, Hanford, Mound, Savannah River, Fernald, Pantex, and 
Linde, which closed in 1949.
