JOB POSTING AT INDIAN POINT 3

POSITION: Radiological Engineer

		Indian Point 3 has an opening for a Radiological Engineer
within the Radiological and Environmental Services Department.

DESCRIPTION:
The individual will be responsible for providing technical expertise for all
aspects of the radiological programs.  This includes tasks such as technical
support and engineering associated with applicable radiation protection
issues related to NRC, EPA and state regulations and industry best
practices; preparation and submittal of regulatorily required reports,
procedure development; environmental impact and nuclear safety evaluations;
self-assessment and corrective action program improvement activities;
investigation into radiological events;, rad environmental, and emergency
planning program support; and development and review of nuclear safety
evaluations.


REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors of Science degree in Radiological Engineering/Health Physics, or
equivalent with 5 years professional/technical experience.  Experience
involving work at or associated with an operational nuclear reactor is
desirable.  Must have working knowledge of 10 CFR 20 regulations. Health
Physics Certification or pursuit thereof, is  desirable.

POSITION:  Environmental Engineer/Technical Specialist

		Indian Point 3 has an opening for an Environmental Engineer
within the Radiological and Environmental Services Department.

aspects of the environmental  and rad-environmental programs.  This includes
tasks such as technical support and engineering associated with applicable
environmental protection related to NRC, EPA and state regulations and
industry best practices; preparation and submittal of regulatorily required
reports, procedure development; environmental impact and nuclear safety
evaluations; self-assessment and program improvement activities;
investigation into radiological environmental events; meteorological and
radiological environmental programs implementation and oversight; emergency
planning program support; and development and review of environmental impact
and nuclear safety evaluations.


REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Engineering/Science, or
equivalent with 5 years professional/technical experience.  Experience
involving work at or associated with an operational nuclear reactor is
desirable.  Must have working knowledge of NYSDEC  and 40 CFR regulations.
Experience in Radiological Environmental, Meteorological Monitoring and
50.75g programs desirable.
