"radiation Safety"

Hello radsafers:

I somehow got an invitation to join an email group called "radiation safety"
so i looked up their web page at
http://www.egroups.com/invite/radiation_safety and here is a sample:

"Radioactivity* is a possibility of some atoms (radionuclides) to
release elementary particles and their conglomerates. To them
can
originate alpha- beta- decay, k-acquisition of electrons and
dividing of a parent nucleus. Products of dividing have
exuberate
energy and radiate it as a gamma- and X- rays.

Radiations* can be electromagnetic and corpuscular (products
of
decay of parent nucleuses). Irradiation, falling and diving in
biological objects, interacts with them that causes change of
their
molecular pattern. It results to seriously changes of objects
and
              people and to death.

Radiological contamination* can be of four kinds: natural (73%
from general influencing on health on the average over the
world)
              medical (25%), technogenic(0,1%), emergency (2%).
Detection and elimination of radioactive pollution*. Devices
for
detection radiation contaminations and radiation area control.
How to be saved of radiological contaminations. "

Need I say more?
