Re: 1988 Irradiator Incident

Otto Raabe asked about a 1988 leak at a Decatur GA irradiation plant.  A
search of the RADSAFE archives using "Decatur and Georgia" turned up some
clues.  On Dec. 12, 1996 Jim Hardeman made a posting that is germane, and
on April 18, 1999 J. Andrew Tompkins made a germane posting.

The most useful posting is probably David W. Lee's, of April 19, 1999.  It
reads in part:

"Regarding the Decatur, GA, incident, contact Mark Smith, Director
Technical Services, 10811 Withers Cove Park Drive, Charlotte, NC 28273;
e-mail:  marks@charlotte.sterigenics.com   Mark has given a PEP class at a
couple of Mid-Year meetings in the past entitled 'Introduction to Gamma
Processing.' "
