Re:Contaminated drinking water at K-25?
Not trying to downplay drinking water problems at K-25, however, the following
quote is contained within the article:
>"I came from a job working at the Virginia Power Company,
>so I had a good idea of how operations work around a nuclear workplace,"
>said Vest, who took a medical retirement in 1995.
Earlier in the article, it is stated that Vest started at K-25 in 1970.
Virginia Power did not get into nuke operations until 1972 with the startup of
Surry, Unit 1. Maybe he was at Surry during early construction? But, no fuel
onsite - no rad areas yet.
I am missing something?
