RE: Request for info

You might want to look at the Jackson Labs web site (www.jax.org); also, the
Jackson Laboratories published a book, "The Laboratory Mouse" (2nd ed.
1966), which gave some radiation sensitivity information for different mouse
strains (see below)

Title: Biology of the laboratory mouse, by the staff of the Jackson
Laboratory. Earl L. Green, editor; Douglas L. Coleman [and others], section
editors; Eunice U. Fahey, assistant editor.
	Edition: 2d ed.
Publisher: New York, Blakiston Division, McGraw-Hill [1966]
Physical Description: xii, 706 p. illus. 26 cm.
	Bibliography: Includes bibliographies.
Subject Topical: Mice as laboratory animals. Mice. Animals,
Laboratory Mice
Personal Name: Green, Earl Leroy, ed.

Generally, I think the LD50 is of the order of 6 - 7 Gy (for Co-60 gamma),
but there are some sensitive lines. Unfortunately, I just lent my copy of
Biology of the Laboratory Mouse to someone yesterday, so I can't be more
precise
