The Fifth Congress on Radiation Protection and Safety and IRPA Regional
Congress will be held in Recife, Brazil from 29 April - 04 May 2001. The
Congress will be organized by the Brazilian Radiation Protection Society
(SBPR).The main purpose of this conference is to bring together
professionals from industries, universities and research laboratories to
present and discuss the latest research results, and to review the state of
the art related to applied and fundamental aspects of Radiation Protection.

2. Health Effects of Ionizing Radiation
3. Dosimetry and Instrumentation
4. Radiation and Nuclear Accident

The scientific program will be organized into Invited Lectures, Topical
Sessions, Poster Viewing, Technical Exhibition, Associate Societies Forum,
Plenary Symposia and Highlights of the Congress.



LANGUAGE

The official languages of the congress will be English, Spanish and
Portuguese. Translations will be available.
