Re: RCT course, ID, TFP

Re: RADIOLOGICAL CONTROL TECHNICIAN COURSE
Training to be an HP or RC tech varies at each
facility. Usually it's more about work experience/time
than formal trainiing. There's info at
http://www.nukeworker.com/ about study guides and RCT
requirements, found under "search", then scroll down
to "enough time" and"study guides". For an actual
degree, Thomas Edison State College in NJ
http://www.tesc.edu/ offers degrees in related
subjects, as do many state and community institutions.
NJ (as do most) offers a distance learning option that
allows credit for past education and training. Someone
in the training department out there at WNP-2 could
probably tell you the quickest, closest option.

Re: ID, TFP
My ID, DRAGONSHIPS@yahoo.com, is because my name,
Susan Jones, is common enough that I couldn't find a
user-friendly permutation. So I used the name of a
song my friend wrote for me. I'm half Danish (not the
Jones half!): Danish->Viking->Dragonships. I know I
have to die fighting an unwinnable war in order to go
to Valhalla, but I can't get too excited about this
tooth fairy thing. What's next, project Easter Bunny?
Apt name for chasing something that isn't really
there. Cannon fodder? Sometimes. But in the words of a
great HP, Phil Rumian: "It's not over until I win."
Fight on!

Susan Jones, contractor HP tech, DRAGONSHIPS@yahoo.com
