There is a publication "Facts Versus Fears: A Review of the Greatest
Unfounded Health Scares of Recent Times" by the American Council on Science
and Health located at http://www.acsh.org/publications/factsfears.html that
covers Love Canal as well a TMI and many others.  The complete text can be
downloaded for free. Hopefully Norm will read it with an open mind.  It
shows the damage that can be done by using junk science and ignoring the
facts.
