I have a pamphlet titled "A Nuclear Waste Primer" published by the League of Women Voters Education
fund in 1980 which shows in figure 3 (uranium ore vs nuclear waste) that the hazards of ore and waste are
equal after just under 1000 years, under conditions of deep underground burial. The source for the figure
is "Radioactive Waste in Perspective". Westinghouse Advanced Power Systems Division.
