Cyclotron Physicist
My client is seeking a cyclotron physicist for
their facility in Eastern TN. The position requires general knowledge in
the application of physics to the design and production of high technology
equipment. Familiarity with design issues of cyclotrons or similar
equipment is required. The person will be required to lead accelerator
development projects, and will have opportunities to contribute to the
development of state-of-the-art accelerator technologies and be involved in
design and manufacturing issues. Responsibilities include magnet design
and optimization, evaluation and design of radiation shielding, radioisotope
production target development, and particle beam optics calculations and
measurements.
Ideal candidate should have an advanced degree in
Physics or Nuclear Engineering, with 5-15 years experience in the design and mfg
of accelerators or other similar equipment. To 80K+
