10/19/00 - Job Posting - Rad Engineer



BWX Technologies of Ohio is currently accepting resumes
for the position of Radiological Engineer at its Mound site in
Miamisburg, Ohio.  This is a DOE site undergoing
remediation.  Requires USA citizenship.  
BS degree in Engineering or Sciences with a minimum of
four years radiological experience related to radiological
controls.  CHP desirable.
Technical knowledge of health physics, radiological control
techniques and radiation safety with supporting science
discipline (health physics, chemistry, statistics, anatomy
and physiology or ecology).  Knowledge of auxiliary
consideration (IH, Safety, Independent Review, EM, etc.)
based upon supplemental training and association
Knowledge of federal state and local radiation protection
regulations and requirements
Provide health physical technical review of documents, assist
in planning and engineering controls to minimize exposures
associated with radiological work, write health physics
instructions, provide technical expertise in response to
unusual or emergency situations.
Deal with the public, outside contractors performing work at
Mound, vendors, other DOE sites and officials, state and
local agencies and officials, management, engineering,
operations and technology personnel
