RE: Radium Smoke Detector Sources

Hans:

You may want to call Bob Gallagher at NSSI in Houston to discuss this issue.
NSSI has disposed many radium sources.

Subject: Radium Smoke Detector Sources

Does anybody know anything about the construction of Ra sources used in old
smoke detectors? We have an old one that we want to dispose of, and are
trying to figure out if there are any RCRA concerns.

Thanks, and you can respond to me directly,
Hans
