3rd Hanford Applied ALARA Workshop "An ALARA Odyssey"

The 3rd Hanford Applied ALARA Workshop has placed a "Call for Papers". The
workshop will be held May 22 through 24, 2001 at the Richland (WA) Red Lion Inn.
This unique three-day conference will include one day of presentations where
lessons learned, in the application of ALARA to accomplish radiological work at
various facilities, will be discussed. The second day will focus on
demonstrations in the field of applied ALARA practices. This includes tours of
the ALARA Center of Technology, and work areas (TBA). The closing day of the
conference will feature workshops where conference participants will be able to
discuss issues that may be of interest at their facility. Topics of interest
include dose and contamination control, waste minimization, mock-up training,
protective clothing, work planning, conduct or ALARA programs, ALARA problems at
Plutonium facilities, and new technologies. A number of product vendors will be
present during the workshop. Seating is limited.

The workshop has requested CEC's from the AAHP and the NRRPT. For more
