Re: Water from private wells poses risk of radiation



Actually, the major risk from radon in well-water is from that which is
released in gaseous form during showering and other household uses of
water.  The stripper is vented outside the residence where the radon is
quickly dispersed.

By the way, I have a household well and have never bothered to check the
groundwater (or household) radon levels.  I figure my cancer risks are
higher from the creosote-laden wood smoke I breath all winter and the
furan-contaminated fire-grilled steaks I eat in the summer.
