Check CFR 21
Check FDA, Center for Radiological Devices, I believe they issue guidelines.
And there's always Part 20 ....ALARA.

-------------------
Title 21 CFR Part 1020 provides for the performance of x-ray equipment, but
not the dose that may result from the performance of a diagnostic test
ordered by a physician.

Title 10 CFR Part 20.1201 and 20.1301 establishes dose limits that may
result from exposures to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory licensed material, but not
the dose that may result from the performance of a diagnostic test ordered
by a physician.

Title 10 CFR Part 835.202 and 835.208 establish dose limits for workers and
the public for DOE activities, but not the dose that may
result from the performance of a diagnostic test ordered by a physician.

Recommended procedures are provided by the American College of Radiology at
http://www.acr.org/ Select "Standards" then "PDF Standards Table of
Contents" then "Diagnostic Radiology"
