Radioprotection Symposium

A collegue asked that I post this announcement for him. Please address all
inquiries to him/them, not me.

A satellite symposium on "RADIOPROTECTORS FOR HUMAN HEALTH - for high dose
acute and low dose chronic exposure with emphasis on phytoceuticals and
nutraceuticals" will be held on July 16, 2001, last day of International
Symposium on Radiation and Homeostasis (ISRH) in Kyoto International
Conference Hall, Kyota, Japan. Recent informations on phytochemicals that
are radioprotective, a new role for tocopherols as radioprotectors,
molecular biology of tocopherol activity, genomic instability to monitor
chronic radiation damage and protection, and clinical status of amifostine
as a radioprotector in cancer radiotherapy will be the focus of the
satellite symposium. Please plan to attend the symposium. The famous Gion
festival in Kyoto follows immediately after the conference on 17th July. For
more information on registration, abstract/poster presentation please visit
the website of ISRH at
