Radiation Safety Officer position is available at Howard University.

The position will involve activities related to overseeing the uses of
radioactive materials and other sources of ionizing radiation at
Howard University and Howard University Hospital.

Requirements for the position:
A Master’s degree in Nuclear Science, Nuclear Engineering or Physical
Science with
courses in radiation safety and three years of responsible work experience
supervising
radiation safety programs. In lieu of the above, Bachelor’s degree and
four year of extensive experience in radiation safety procedures,
technology, and
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission rules and regulations which has included
supervision of a radiation safety program is required.
The candidate is also expected to meet the requirements for RSO as described
in
NRC regulations.
