Re: misc
I believe that there is a concensus among radiation biologists
that DSBs may be classified as simple or complex, ( multiply damaged
sites). The latter occur with higher frequency under the influence of high
LET radiation, are more difficult to repair and probably more likey to be
mis-repaired. I would suggest that naturally-occuring DSBs may be
qualitatively different from those induced by exposure to alpha radiation
from radon daughters.
