need help with marinelli beaker
I would like to give away or dispose of an old Marinelli beaker. Here is a
description.
Markings-- Radioactive, Mixed nuclide, AC567, Amersham Buchler.
Outer Dimensions- 19cm diameter, 18cm height
Well Dimensions- 7.5cm diameter, 7.5cm deep
Date- unknown but must be about 10 years old or more
Radioactive content- unknown
I had no luck finding it in the Source Registry, on the Amersham web site,
or in an old Amersham calibration source catalog (dimensions are the same as
the old Amersham QCR15 Marinelli Beaker source).
1. Is anyone interested in taking it from me?
2. Has anyone successfully returned such a source to Amersham for disposal?
3. Any leads on how I can learn the radionuclide contents without doing a
mass spect?
Any help would be appreciated.
