Seventh International Radiopharmaceutical Dosimetry Symposium

The Seventh International Radiopharmaceutical Dosimetry Symposium will be

held in Nashville, TN, USA, April 17-19, 2002. Six of these interesting and

important meetings have been held previously, approximately every 5 years

since 1970, with distribution of published proceedings. Most previous

meetings were held in Oak Ridge, TN, and were organized by the Radiation

Internal Dose Information Center. Despite the decline in funding and

staffing for this center, it was decided that this important symposium

series should continue. Due to continued interest in the international

community, the series will not only continue, but will increase in

frequency. The plan now is for the symposium to be held approximately every

2 years, alternating between a US and European site. Thus, tentatively, the

Eighth symposium will be held at a site and date to be determined in Europe

in 2004.



All announcements and other mailings for this meeting will be done

electronically (no paper mail will be sent) via a mailing list that we are

maintaining. If you know of anyone that should be included on the mailing

list, please let us know and we will gladly include them, if they are not on

the list already. Future announcements will also appear on Radsafe. You can

also of course forward this announcement to other individuals, mailing

lists, etc. A call for abstracts (also electronic) will go out in a few

months, with authors notified of outcome in approximately October of this

year. Contributors will be required to bring an electronic version of their

manuscript to the meeting in April 2002; early plans are to have the

proceedings published as a supplement to the Journal of Nuclear Medicine. We

look forward to welcoming you to Nashville in April 2002!
