RE: Hormesis and LNT in Today's News

That's silly. No "proof" is implied in distributing the article. It's just
interesting that the science is getting out.
-- I believe that biological changes due to radiation has been documented
for decades. The fact that it is presented as a "hormesis" effect is new.
And you are right, there is no proof in the article, which is not really an
article, but an editorial or opinion piece.
The science "proves" the fact, except to those who do not use (or ignore)
the science for their self-serving "policies."
-- What fact is being proved? That radiation causes effects in cells,
animals, and humans? Again, that is not new.
(And the author isn't just another writer or "journalist.")
-- True, however, this seems like an editorial that spends more time
blasting those who do not agree with his line of thinking. Much like Rush
Limbaugh.
And "science" is done by "piling on." That's called variously: "the weight
of the evidence," "confirmation," "scientific consensus," etc., etc. :-)
-- What evidence? That at low doses and dose rates you can detect molecular
changes? What about the compounds that you are not looking for? Biological
systems are constantly dealing with assaults to their functions. Ionizing
Radiation is one. So is UV radiation, trace elements, compounds, etc.
Believe me, I do not think radiation is harmful at low doses and dose rates.
I just do not think is it going to be a great benefit to have everyone in
the country go into an irradiation facility to get a yearly dose.
