RE: Dateline NBC TMI story - A different evaluation



I think that the analogy with the Hindenberg is a bit of a stretch to

compare to a hot current ploitical topic that is central to a key issue of

energy for our society, but, if you saw the TMI broadcast, you would be

aware that they also showed pictures of the Hindeburg in flames to add to

effect! (No need to go to the History Channel.)

If I were you, I would stay away from the History Channel.  They might have

a show on the Hindenberg, which is obviously slanted against dirigibles.

The next show was introduced with a picture of a pile of guns. The agenda

here is control of those guns that [persons use to] kill persons.



While I agree that a show centered around a person who was reporting for

Rolling Stone at TMI and was involved in the China Syndrome production could

be classified as entertainment, the political agenda and narrow one-sided

perspective is clear, (and underscored by the obvious editing that

interrupted consecutive related sentences in the broadcast to slant the

audience inference).
