Re: DU counterweights on 767s
That is a very good question. I would think that radiation issues would be
pretty far down on the priority list (other than an initial rad survey for
a suspected WMD or dispersal device).
If you were paying attention to some of the background activities during
the news reports you would have glimpsed folks doing what looked like
radiation surveys...several folks here noticed the same thing. Anyone else
catch this?
It was reported here that the dust contained asbestos...I haven't heard any
other reports or confirmation of this. I would think that the most
significant concern would be first from physical hazards and second from
biohazards.

Just curious--- If these plane did have DU counterweights, of what
importance would that be given the overall nature of the catastrophe?
