As you can see from the results on RADSAFE so far, the answer depends on what degree of difference you are dealing with.  people have essentially said macroscopically there is no difference.  Define Macroscopic.  One method of determining paleo temperatures in the ancient ocean looks at the differential evaporative rate of H2O16 vs H2O18 ratios and how the remaining O is incorporated in the carbonate of critter shells.  I would say that evaporation rate is macroscopic,  but you definitely need more than basic undergrad student equipment to see the end results.
