RE: Radium on Luminous Dial Watches
I know that I bought a Tissot swiss watch in Europe in 1962 and wore it for 12
years, until I read the dose rate in a nuke engineering lab course in 1974. 2
mr/hour at the watch crystal face. My wrist, hand, and left cheek are all fine,
these 27 years later.
Best regards.

Does anyone know approximately how much Ra-226 was present on the face of a
typical radium-dial wrist-watch used during the first half of the 20th
Century?
Thanks....
Otto
