You are correct in that neoprene is the primary material found in wetsuits.

New technology in the wet suit business now incorporates a titanium layer

(embedded into the neoprene?) on the wearer's side of the wetsuit that

presumably increases insulation and helps reflect body heat back towards the

wearer.
