Actually, Yucca Mountain sits in the middle of a lot of inactive, very old volcanic craters (you can see them from the crest of the ridge), and the repository site is in volcanic rock (tuff). I think though that the geologists know what they are doing, and an eruption is exceedingly unlikely.
