Cohen data suspect at best



Dr. Cohen and others,



One last question, I think one of the problems with using aggregate data is 

its poor quality.  For example, Dr. Field told me that if you were using 

census track data to determine how many black people were in a certain area, 

it would be correct less than 20% of the time.  Lung cancer as well as 

smoking rates rates are much higher for blacks so this could not be 

stratified correctly using your data. Also, education levels are only 

correct about half of the time for women and less than half the time for 

black women.  How could you hope to use these data for stratification?
