Job Opportunity - Radiation Safety Project Manager
Position: Project Manager - Bethesda, MD
Description: Providing project management and staff supervision under
long-term contract at a Federal facility with a broad scope license to
use radioactive materials in biomedical research and medical practice.
Skills & Qualifications: Qualified candidates will be able to
demonstrate skills relevant to:
§ Managing a government contract including daily interaction with the
government project officer
§ Supervising staff of radiation safety technicians and administrative
support staff
§ Conducting daily health physics quality assurance activities and
preparing monthly quality assurance reports
Required Education: Advanced degree in Health Physics, Physical
Sciences or related field and ABHP Certified Health Physicist, as well
as strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Requirements: Must have 1 year of full-time experience
in a biomedical research setting as well as 1 year of full-time
experience supervising personnel in the field of health physics.
Qualified candidates must have more than 1 year full-time experience
conducting radiation safety surveys, monitoring and decontaminating
personnel and equipment, sample deployment and collection, sample
preparation and analyses, and more than 1 month full-time experience
calibrating radiation detection instruments.
Salary Range: $78,000 to $90,000 - Salary and relocation package for
this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
