Re: Atmospheric Radiation

Hmmmmmm,

     This is from: jpreisig@aol.com .

One good source of information about neutron radiation (and other cosmic

radiation) as a function of Earth altitude is Accelerator Health Physics, the

book

by Patterson and Thomas. This book is getting old now and sometimes it is

hard to find a copy of it.

There are non-particle accelerator (elementary particle) research groups

scattered all over the USA. They do experiments using cosmic radiation

arriving at the Earth. Some physics departments that do this that come to

mind are: U of Delaware (& Bartol Institute), Drexel University, U of Utah,

etc.

Visit their web pages.

Good Luck in your studies... Joe Preisig, Ph.D.
