Re: Waste Area Entry Procedures

I would recommend you the following IAEA TECDOC

a) IAEA TECDOC 652 - Minimization and Segregation of Radioactive Wastes,

July 1992

b) IAEA TECDOC 656 - Treatment and conditioning of radioactive organic

liquids, July 1992

c) IAEA TECDOC 775 - Handling, treatment, conditioning and storage of

biological radioactive wastes, December 1994

Subject: Waste Area Entry Procedures

I am looking for some generic procedures/guidelines related to entry into

areas in which hazardous waste is stored -- not small waste areas like

those that would be found in individual research laboratories, but very

large waste storage areas (perhaps in university settings) in which

substantial amounts of chemical, biological and radioactive waste is stored.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
