Position Opening: Program Manager TLD/CR39
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the management of the TLD and CR39 programs which
includes scheduling, processing, and approving results; recommending
and implementing program improvements; providing technical and
quality control analysis of systems; and ensuring adequate inventory,
training, and documentation of all activities is maintained.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education or equivalent experience:
B.S. in Physical or Biological Science. M.S. or Ph.D preferred
Related experience required:
Minimum five years related work experience in field of dosimetry,
quality assurance or health physics and supervision in a laboratory
or production facility preferred. Knowledge of both Bicron-NE
(Harshaw) and Panasonic TLD technology is highly desired.
Knowledge/skill required:
A. Excellent communication, mathematical, and organizational skills.
B. Ability to work independently, follow through on assignments and
meet deadlines.
C. Knowledge of radiation principles and industry standards, TLD
processing, and personal computers preferred.
D. Have a thorough knowledge of the features and limitations of the
software programs used for processing dosimeter and determining
results.
E. Possess a strong understanding of the principles of dosimeter
theory, including heating, calibration, linearity, and the mechanical
operation of all dosimeter processing systems.
F. Demonstrate a good understanding of NVLAP, DOELAP, and the other
accreditation requirements.
