Available Health Physicist Position



Health Physicist Opening - Yucca Mountain Project



Bechtel-SAIC, a prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE),

has an immediate opening for a Health Physicist to assist in planning and

organizing radiation protection programs in support of the Yucca Mountain

Project in Las Vegas, NV and periodically at the Yucca Mountain Site; 90

miles from Las Vegas.



The successful candidate will implement health physics programs, monitor

daily work practices utilized by project personnel and/or other

contractors/subcontractors to ensure compliance with established programs

and applicable regulations. Advises labor and supervisors of noncompliance.

Stops work in imminent danger situations and under conditions of imminent

adverse environmental impact. Recommends acceptable work practices and

ensures their implementation.



Successful candidate shall possess a BA/BS in Health Physics, or related

discipline, plus a minimum of two years experience in professional health

physics.
