Health Physicists,

1. What is the radioactivity of tobacco smoke? I recall a lay article claiming

that as its main carcinogen. This and the radon overlap should keep this "on

topic"

2. Prohibition (regulation) often has unintended consequences, like organized

crime developing with alcohol prohibition in 1929.



As an alternative, Milton Friedman encouraged my health insurance plan which

gave low cost, better care to non-smokers who moderated alcohol use and used

seat belts.

It's other economic aspects were similar to "medical savings accounts", patient

power, with which I have joined forces through CATO (Libertarian) and the

Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. Such free market incentives

have survived better than health dictates.
