After 7 years of involvement with external dosimetry at Hanford, the 30 day estimate for Tl-201 is accurate.  We basically said wait 30 days and then see if the individual can pass through a portal monitor without alarming.  Barring some reason why the individual would have to enter a radiological area before the Tl-201 decayed off, the ability to not alarm a portal monitor was the primary criteria for going back to work after the nuclear medicine study.

Does anybody have info on the biological half-live of Tl-201 used in stress tests.  Does the inability to pass a portal monitor for 30 days seem excessive?
