Radiation council taps Richland man

As the nation faces new nuclear threats from terrorists

and new opportunities to put radiation to beneficial use,

a Richland scientist has been elected president of the

National Council on Radiation Protection and

Measurements.



Tom Tenforde is the fourth president of the organization

since Congress chartered it in 1964 to provide information

and recommendations on safe radiation policies and

practices.
