What is underground [DISCOVER]?
A little bit closer to the surface of the earth, there
are large numbers of thermophilic bacteria living down
to 2.75 km underground at temperatures of 75°C.
[That's a lot of heat]. The bacterial life at greater
distances underground has apparently not been
explored.
