Position Announcement - EH&S Director/RSO AMISI Denton, TX

Advanced Molecular Imaging Systems Inc. (AMISI), a manufacturer and

distributor of radiochemicals used primarily for radiopharmaceutical

production, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of

Environmental, Health, and Safety Director/Radiation Safety Officer to work

at their facilities in Denton, Texas.



The role of the EH&S Director/RSO at AMISI includes:

·	Maintaining a proactive approach to the safety and health of workers, the

public, and the environment.

·	Enhancing communication and the flow of information throughout the

organization.

·	To empower others to make safety decisions that are not only in the best

interest of the individual, but are also inclusive of those around them.



The responsibilities of the EH&S Director/RSO at AMISI include:

·	The development, implementation, and ongoing assurance of a comprehensive

safety program to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to corporate

policies and procedures.

·	To interpret, enforce, and write supporting company procedures and

policies based on Federal, State and local regulations for environmental,

health, and safety compliance.

·	To insure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety

regulations including permits, registrations, training, and record keeping

and reporting.

·	To develop and conduct training programs for EH&S regulations.

·	To advise program and facility managers on tailoring corporate safety and

health programs to fit their specific operation.

·	To utilize EH&S expertise to provide consultation and recommendations in

support of strategic planning for the company.

·	To review proposed safety and environmental legislation as well as current

programs, on an on-going basis, to determine its impact on the company.

·	To act as a liaison between EH&S regulatory agencies and the company.



Qualifications for this position include:

·	Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety and Health,  Health Physics, or

related scientific or technical discipline.  Masters preferred.

·	10 years of practical, hands-on experience in environmental, health and

safety areas.

·	Strong radiation safety experience.

·	Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with management,

technical professionals, skilled workers, and regulatory agencies.

·	Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·	Experience with international EH&S requirements, regulations, and

practices preferred.

·	High level of computer proficiency.
