two reminders



A couple of reminders for your Monday:



1) If you can, please disable any feature in your email program that

includes HTML text, along with regular text, in your messages. This just

clutters the messages and digests.

2) Please do not ask for 'return receipts' when you send messages to the

list. This causes generation of dozens of useless automatic responses, which

are sent to the listowner.

3) As noted recently, discourteous comments are not productive to the

discussion, and cause many users to switch off of your message. Intelligent

people like yourselves can make their point while maintaining a respectful

tone (for all parties involved), and are thus more effective in the long

run.
