Environmental Technician IV

                              State of Kansas



The  Dept.  of Health and Environment is seeking qualified candidates for a

Environmental  Technician IV position (Req# 39068) in the Bureau of Air and

Radiation  in  Topeka.   The  successful  candidate will specialize in work

including  development  and  day  to  day  operation  of  an  environmental

radiation  surveillance  program for Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station,

the  training  of emergency responders, and response to actual radiological

incidents   and  emergencies  in  the  state.   Requires:  High  school  or

equivalent   education   and   independent   complex   work  experience  in

environmental  technical support. Valid drivers license. Prefer: Experience

in  Health  Physics  and  Radiological  Health  Measurements; Environmental

Monitoring  and Sampling; Training/Public Speaking Experience and Technical

Writing.  Starting salary $35,048 annually, plus excellent benefits. Submit
