RE: another paper on DU

Title: RE: another paper on DU
Why couldn't it be both ? ....after all the activist outfits are out to make some dough too, eh ? ....and they often retain some fairly capable lawyers.

Jaro,
Are you suggesting this meeting is politically motivated?  I thought is was for lawyers looking for more money.

Hmmm -- curious that the DU conference was "organized by Res publica, association for information."

....wonder if that's supposed to be a play on the well-known Ř Nuclear Research Institute (NRI) (see web site at http://www.nri.cz/ ).

Of course the latter have nothing to do with the former, and the www.du.publica.cz site has no links to any scientific institution or organisation.

But as we saw recently at the NATO summit in Prague, there is certainly plenty of pro-Iraq anarchists, Greens and "pre-Velvet Revolution" Communists there. The list of participants of the DU conference (below) reads like a who's who of activist organisations and "Slobo" Milosevic apologists. Yuk !
