The way I understand it is that all corals have
high uranium content (~3ppm). This is usually not shown on the bottle. I wonder
why? Coral actively grabs the U from seawater and coral is dated by the ingrowth
of uranium decay products.
The coral that is sold in bottles is also high
in Thorium (~0.1 ppm). This is shown on the
websites.
The recommended daily dose is 1.5g. I wonder if
anyone would care to calculate a dose from that? (Assume most of the stuff
is soluble. That is the claim to fame of coral calcium. Also assume that the U
is a few thousand years old. The dose from ingested fresh U will be
small.)
