Job Opportunity in St. Louis
Position Announcement
Mallinckrodt, Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of
radiopharmaceuticals, has an immediate opening for a Cyclotron Health
Physicist at it's facility in Maryland Heights, Missouri (a suburb of St.
Louis). This position will be responsible for all facets of operational
health physics.
Typical duties include:
* Develop and maintain aspects of cyclotron radiation safety program.
* Perform audits of areas where radioactive materials are utilized.
* Assist in the design of new facilities and equipment.
* Perform radiological evaluations of facilities and processes.
* Plan and coordinate Health Physics coverage of maintenance
evolutions.
* Perform incident investigations and propose corrective actions.
* Respond to inquiries regarding use of Radioactive Materials.
Qualifications (education, experience, special skills) include:
* B.S. Degree in Health Physic or closely related field (M.S.
preferred).
* Certified Health Physicist preferred.
* Cyclotron or accelerator experience preferred.
* 3 years progressive Health Physics experience. (5 years preferred)
* Project management experience desired.
* Must have good communication skills, verbal and written.
* Must be willing to work extra for emergency call-ins.
* Advanced computer skills a plus
