Tooth fairy inspired law suit
Dear Radsafers,
Below is a link to a story posted today on the TCPalm Web site, "Suit
alleges cancer link to nuclear plant". This story includes the statements:
"Studies of teeth from both children showed high levels of Strontium-90, a
byproduct of nuclear fission power plants, according to the lawsuits. The
suits claim state health officials never tested for Strontium-90 in children
when they first investigated the cancer cluster."
The writer Mark Pollio seems unbiased, but no mention is made of the dubious
science behind the legal action. Perhaps if Radsafe subscribers write to
Mr. Pollio with relevant background information he will be motivated to
research this topic and write an informed follow-up piece. His email
