	Who finances Common Cause?

	Who finances the politicians who are pushing the global warming agenda?

That business of who is financing whom is a two-edged sword.

===================

Common Cause's web site <www.commoncause.org> writes:

"Common Cause has more than 200,000 members and supporters nationwide, with active members and volunteers in every state.

"Financed by the dues and contributions of its individual members, Common Cause does not accept foundation or government grants or solicit contributions from labor unions or corporations. Because it is a lobbying organization, contributions to Common Cause are not tax deductible. The annual operating budget is approximately $10 million."

In addition, they write:

"How is Common Cause funded?

Common Cause is funded through member dues and contributions. Member dues and contributions of $100 or less provide approximately 73% of all income; contributions of over $1,000 provide approximately 10%. Common Cause accepts no government grants. The Common Cause Governing Board has adopted a policy of not accepting any monetary contributions from corporations or labor unions in excess of $1000 in a calendar year.

"How much does it cost to join Common Cause?

Introductory memberships are $10 for students, $20 for individuals, and $30 for a family (two individuals in the same household)"

Funding sources for politicians, both those "pushing the global warming agenda" and "those pushing the fossil fuel industry agenda" are, to the extent that they obey the law, a matter of public record.

The interested reader might, as an exercise, try finding out who funds the many interest groups and think tanks "pushing the fossil fuel industry agenda".

Best regards.
