Junior Medical Health Physicist Position



Position:	Junior Medical Health Physicist



Location:	Florida Hospital

		Orlando, FL



Florida Hospital is currently searching for a Junior Medical Health

Physicist to fill a vacant position within the department of Radiation

Safety/Diagnostic Medical Physics.  The responsibilities of this role are

primarily to provide in-house medical health physics/radiation safety

support to a large multi-campus medical center.  You will be working with a

group that includes a RSO/chief diagnostic physicist, 2 diagnostic

physicists, another medical health physicist and a radiation safety

assistant.



Florida Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Florida, consisting of

seven campuses and various free standing clinics located in the Orlando

area.  The department manages a broadscope radioactive materials license,

which covers all areas of use, including PET, IVBT, gamma knife, HDR, etc.



Orlando is located in sunny, central Florida, about 1 hour from the beach.

Tourism is the primary industry, with many theme parks including Disneyworld

and Universal studios being the top draws.  For the sports lovers we have

the Orlando Magic, plus professional football, baseball and basketball teams

within a 2 hour drive.  



Requirements are BS or MS in health physics with 1-2 years hospital

experience.  Salary and benefits are competitive.
