	It was not my intent to offend you, Louis, or anyone else.  The assumption

that the EMT was properly trained was implicit in what I said.  I would

NEVER say that someone should take a risk without the proper training and

equipment.  I support comprehensive training and proper equipment 100 percent.



	In the particular case I was commenting on, it should have been obvious to

the EMTs that there were other people in the building, and the injured man

had been injured while in the building that displayed the trefoil.  From a

logical standpoint it makes no sense to refuse to enter a building with

people in it merely because it has a trefoil.  Did the EMTs actually

believe the occupants of the building were in there deliberately exposing

themselves to "deadly radioactivity"?  My comments were meant as a plea for

taking a rational approach.  They were not a suggestion that anyone be

shortchanged on training and equipment.
